Alanna Burke-Sindlinger

Alanna Burke-Sindlinger is an art therapist and counselor who offers a variety of healing modalities to individuals, families and groups seeking assistance in mental, emotional and spiritual health challenges. Creative expression has been a life-long passion and vital part of her own journey of self-discovery and deep inner knowing. She is passionate about art therapy and its healing potential. She aims to honor the complexity of each person and system that she treats and move beyond the surface of the symptoms and into the roots of the suffering that her clients are faced with.

Alanna specializes in trauma, attachment issues, grief/loss, addictions, depression and anxiety. She is grounded in transpersonal and depth psychology approaches and is expansive in using techniques from internal family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic, narrative and gestalt approaches. Alanna considers the whole person and approaches each client with respect and honors each person’s innate wisdom. She is intuitive in her work and uses a variety of interventions as they fit with the needs of each individual client or clients in the case of family, couples or groups. In addition to art therapy, Alanna uses eco psychology, somatic interventions, expressive therapies, psychodrama, mindfulness, inner child work and psychospiritual interventions. These modalities often intertwine and overlap one another, providing well rounded and comprehensive care of the whole person, couple, group and family system.
