Crystal Contreras, LMSW
As a Master’s graduate from the School of Social Work at NMSU, I am passionate about helping people. I got into the field to learn more about mental health, the challenges people face, and how I can help them help themselves. During my career, I have worked at Otero County Prison, providing intensive sex offender group therapy and individual counseling. I have also worked with adolescents in an in-patient setting, supporting those struggling with addictions, depression, bi-polar disorders, borderline disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, trauma, and physical abuse. I provide family counseling, group counseling and individual counseling. I also work with adults with addiction issues, depression, anxiety, marital conflict, and trauma. You are not alone. Each person is unique and requires different approaches to their situations. I would like to get to know you to determine what approach works best for you. I like to empower my clients by giving them a voice and opportunity to explore themselves. I am a compassionate person who knows the hardships life can bring. I would love to have the opportunity to help you on your journey of life.
